More than 150 billion garments are discarded worldwide every year*. Only 30% of those are collected separately and prepared for re-use and recycling **. The majority lands in residual waste and goes into incineration or landfill. The environmental impact is great as incineration of textiles has one of the highest CO2 exhaustions. By selling 2nd hand you are able to reduce the environmental impact on discarded clothing by keeping them in the cycle and out of the waste. With RAS you are doing the right thing!

As part of Boer Group RAS has access to an enormous collection of high-quality second hand textiles. Through our expert knowledge of fashion we can prepare this supply to seamlessly meet the specific demands of different retailers.
Boer Group is the leading recycler of used textiles in Europe. The family owned business collects over 110.000 tons of textiles annually and prepares them for reuse and recycling. Through many years of experience the now 5th generation has gained a solid knowledge and understanding of marketing secondhand textiles.

Whether in your operational stores or in empty store spaces where we can introduce flexible secondhand concepts together, our supply of secondhand clothing will intrigue and attract not only your normal customers but a whole new target group of shoppers. On top we offer a personal service for every store and will accustom the supply when and where needed. Without effort, more traffic and more revenue.
RAS is Reporting
As of July 1st 2023 the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is applicable in The Netherlands. A European wide EPR is expected in the years to come. Mandatory local reuse is part of the legislation in The Netherlands. With a secondhand offer of RAS in your store you will comply with this national legislation. We take over any reporting duties to Stichting PRO. Without any troubles or concerns on your side.
RAS guarantees her partners sufficient volumes of high-quality of secondhand clothing tuned into the needs of retail and shoppers alike. We are also able to add on or replace the clothing if needed. Unsold clothing will be recycled in a sustainable and circular way by Boer Group subsidiaries.
We are on your track with an integrated and independent service model. The choice is yours. Our service can vary from simply supplying you a pallet of fashionable secondhand to setting up a new secondhand store or complete store-in-store concepts.
